alex's staph infection

alex went creeking like a month ago and david pulled her into the creek because she wouldn't go in, and she cut her leg. well. its been getting progressively worse. she's been putting off going to the doctor because she doesn't like doctors. but she's been getting more sores around the original one, so she went to the doctor and found out that she has a staph infection. they put her on antibiotics and she'll be fine. the doctor said that the new sores came from when she shaved her legs, she spread the infection. its gross. so now she can't shave her legs for like a week and she's not very happy about it. lol.

the kirby carpet cleaner guy

so. we got home from the park and the kirby carpet cleaner guy was at my house. apparently he'd been there a while, showing off the vacuum and cleaning our carpet. mom told him when he came that she would not buy one and he was wasting his time, but i guess he still had a quota to meet of how many houses he showed it to. when he was done, the other guy came in to pick him up and would not leave until mom bought a vacuum. well. she refused. and he kept going and going and going. lol. she still refused and finally he left. but at least our carpet is cleaner now. but seriously, who pays $3000 for a vacuum??

hummel park

me and mike went to hummel today to hang out. we went down to the creek and took pictures and skipped rocks. it was fun. we took a walk around the track and afterwards went to dairy queen. i got a pumpkin pie blizzard..mmm. it was really good.

weirdest bug i've ever seen

anyone know what kind of bug this is? i've never seen anything like it...found this one trying to get into mike's garage today.

awesome corn picture

there's a place on the way to danville where there is a stalk of corn growing all by itself across from a corn field. i got some pix of it today because i thought it was really neat. i threw a quote on one of them. lol. its really corny. haha, so was that.

our trek to methodist hospital

our friend bruce had to have surgery the other day so we went out to methodist to see him today. he's doing well and should be out of the hospital within the next couple of days. it took us forever to find the hospital. the gps took us to the wrong one and then some lady on the side of the road tried to give us directions but it didn't work out so good. but we finally found it. we had to park in a parking garage. i hate parking garages. but i got some cool pix through this one. we had to wear gloves and gowns when we went in to see him which was very amusing to us. we stayed at the hospital for a while visiting before making our way back to plainfield for lunch. we went to pizza hut and got pasta. it was pretty good. still felt weird going to pizza hut and not getting pizza. oh yeah, i got some cool sunrise pix this morning. it was so pretty.

peeling apples

mike has an apple tree in his back yard and his mom sent home a bunch of apples with me the other day along with this really cool apple peeler thing. i was going to make something like cobbler or a pie or something appley with them, but havent had time, so i took them to latchkey with me. i figured the kids would have fun peeling them and then i'd make something there with the apples. the kids had a blast peeling the apples and ended up eating them all before i got a chance to clean up the mess. even kids who don't like apples were waiting in line to eat them because they looked cool and everyone else was eating them. they came out in these spiral strips. it was pretty fun. they were also trying to see who could get the longest peel strip. lol. and i spelled my name with apple peels cuz i'm awesome like that. anyway, i got some pix and a video..
