trash bag backdrops

i got a cool tip from a friend who told me to use black trash bags as backdrops to take flower pictures. i think they turned out really good. i'll be carrying one around in my camera bag from now on. :D

chasing rainbows

alex was driving home from practice and called me and said get your camera, i see a rainbow. we couldn't see it from the house, so we went and looked for it. these are my first rainbow pix. i'm excited that they turned out! :)

i tried to get a pic of both sides together, but by the time we got to somewhere where we were far enough back to get both sides, this side was gone.

it was actually a double rainbow. me and alex saw it, but it didnt capture well on my camera, but i darkened it up in photoshop so you could see it.

they had two sets of fireworks going at thunder at the same time..gotta go. alex sees a rainbow.

thunder over louisville 2009

was amazing! one of the coolest things i've ever seen. dad went with me, we had a blast. lol..no pun intended. i was really excited because i've been wanting to take firework pictures and haven't gotten any since i've been so into photography. and thunder is the largest annual pyrotechnics display in north america. what better place for firework pix?

won a photo contest today

its not a really big deal. its a daily contest put out by my photography network. i didn't win anything besides the honor of hosting tomorrow's challenge. it made me happy though. :)

blake's senior pictures

anne took me and blake out and about and around virginia on the last day of my trip. i had a blast taking these pix! we had such a great day! it was a ton of fun and blake was such an awesome model. he made it so easy to capture such amazing shots. afterwards, we joined the rest of the family to eat dinner at the restaurant that he and madison work at. it was really good and i enjoyed visiting with them. we were so lucky for the amazing weather. thanks again anne for taking time from your busy schedule to be my assistant/chauffeur. lol. i really appreciate it. also a special thanks to robert and donna for letting us borrow their car for some shots. :)
