jelly belly factory part two: the train ride

ok. so. before you start looking at pix on this post, i must explain....they are NOT good. haha. you're not supposed to take pix from the train ride. and i did. but. i didnt get to see any of them til later. i didnt want to get caught taking them. so i had my camera sitting on my lap. with the flash off. and i randomly would push the shutter release. so...many of them are out of focus, because we were moving, i didnt focus on anything, because i didnt look at what i was taking a pic of and the flash was off. but i'm gonna post them anyway because they're funny. some of them turned out okay..lol. ENJOY!

its really blurry, but that pic of the statue of liberty was made entirely out of jelly bellies...some people have wayyyyy too much time on their hands. :)

we were at walmart the other day and at the walmart out here they have a dog groomer. and this dog has a mohawk! hahahahaha. its a little rock star puppy!

there's this place here called shirl's...its an ice cream parlor. pretty good stuff. we went there one day last week. yes, in the subzero temperatures, we're eating ice cream..because we're super cool like that!

WOOO! anyway. here are some of the pix. we're about to go for the day and i have a few more posts i wanna put up first, so i'll post more later. i have a ton on my other camera and haven't unloaded the card yet. i have to unload three cameras just to blog. whew.

jelly belly factory pt. one: the gift shop

we went to the jelly belly factory yesterday. it was loads of fun! i'm splitting this post into a couple of posts because there are a ton of pix and its a lot of uploading and i know that some of you are anxious to see these pix. lol. so here are pix of the gift shop. they are far better than the train pix. i'll explain why in the other post...but this is the store:

test drive

linda's car was stuck at base the first few days i was here. it was so cold here, that the car wouldn't start. and tim's car battery was dead too. so he had to walk to enterprise because they were going to rent a car. but then they decided that it would be better to get a jump to drive to get a car charger. so their home teacher came and jumped tim's car. i went with him to get a car charger and then he went to try to start linda's car. it didnt work. but he brought the battery back to the house to charge it. i think he drove to base three or four times before finally getting linda's car to work. anyway, they've been looking into trading in linda's car for a newer one for a while, but since all of this is happening they are going to try to do it sooner rather than later. we went to gurnee dodge to look at a journey. we took a test drive. it was pretty fun. its such a nice car. after dodge, we went to petsmart for gordon so he could see all the animals. lol, its like the zoo!

gordon wants the truck (as does tim). he loves trucks. he thought the journey was pretty cool too though.


gordon decided he wanted to drive tim's car while he was trying to fix linda's car. i got some pretty cute pix of him driving. :)
